THE WINTER’S Story and More Set for American Expressive dance Theater 2025

American Artful dance Theater will praise its 85th commemoration at the Metropolitan Show House during its multi week Summer season, running June 10 – July 19, as reported today by Creative Chief Susan Jaffe. The commemoration season additionally checks 30 years of ABT Studio Organization and 20 years of the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School.

The Late spring season will highlight Tony Grant victor Christopher Wheeldon’s The Colder time of year’s Story and will see the arrival of Wayne McGregor’s Woolf Works, Giselle, Sylvia, and fourteen days of Kevin Mckenzie’s Swan Lake, which praises its 25th year in 2025.

Head Artists for the 2025 Summer season incorporate Joo Won Ahn, Aran Chime, Isabella Boylston, Skylar Brandt, Daniel Camargo, Herman Cornejo, Thomas Forster, Isaac Hernández, Catherine Hurlin, Chloe Misseldine, Gillian Murphy, Calvin Regal III, Hee Website design enhancement, Christine Shevchenko, Cory Stearns, Devon Teuscher, Cassandra Trenary, James Whiteside, and Roman Zhurbin.

Reece Clarke, head artist at The Regal Artful dance, will make his Visitor Craftsman debut with ABT as Aminta in Sylvia, performing at the early show execution on Wednesday, July 9, and at the night execution on Saturday, July 12. Olga Smirnova, head artist at the Dutch Public Artful dance, will get back to ABT as a Visitor Craftsman at the night execution on Saturday, June 21 in the lead spot from Giselle.

American Expressive dance Theater’s New York Debut: The Colder time of year’s Story

American Expressive dance Theater’s New York Debut of Christopher Wheeldon’s The Colder time of year’s Story will open on Tuesday night, July 1 at 7:30 P.M. Considered a cutting edge expressive dance exemplary, The Colder time of year’s Story follows a marriage through desire, grievousness, regret, and reclamation. The Colder time of year’s Story accepted its reality debut by The Illustrious Expressive dance, co-dispatched by the Public Expressive dance of Canada, on April 10, 2014, at the Regal Drama House, Covent Nursery, London. The honor winning creation will accept its Organization Debut by American Artful dance Theater on April 3, 2025, at Segerstrom Place for Human expressions in Costa Plateau, California. At the Metropolitan Show House, the expressive dance will be given seven exhibitions through Saturday, July 5, highlighting music by Joby Talbot, set and outfit configuration by Bounce Crowley, lighting plan by Natasha Katz, video plan by Daniel Brodie, and silk plan by Basil Curve.

Full-Length Creations

Celebrating a long time since its Reality Debut, Kevin Mckenzie’s Swan Lake will start off the 2025 Summer season with eight exhibitions drove by Isabella Boylston as Odette/Odile and Daniel Camargo as Sovereign Siegfried on Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 P.M. Swan Lake will return for eight execution in the fifth seven day stretch of ABT’s Mid year season, drove by Catherine Hurlin as Odette/Odile and James Whiteside as Sovereign Siegfried on Monday, July 14 at 7:30 P.M. Set up with a good soundtrack by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky, Swan Lake is arranged by Kevin Mckenzie after Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov and elements view and ensembles by Zack Brown and lighting by Duane Schuler.

In the second seven day stretch of its Late spring season, ABT will introduce Wayne McGregor’s Woolf Works for five exhibitions, starting on Tuesday, June 17 at 7:30 P.M. driven by Devon Teuscher and James Whiteside. Woolf Works highlights movement by Wayne McGregor and music by Max Richter, with set plan by Ciguë (“I now, I then”), We Not I (“Becomings”), and Wayne McGregor (“Tuesday”); ensemble plan by Moritz Junge; lighting plan by Lucy Carter; video plan by Ravi Deepres; sound plan by Chris Ekers; make up by Kabuki; and dramaturgy by Uzma Hameed. Woolf Works is created in relationship with the Imperial Drama House, Covent Nursery, London.

From Saturday, June 21 through Saturday, June 28, ABT will offer 10 exhibitions of Giselle with the initial early show execution on Saturday, June 21 at 2:00 P.M. being driven by Christine Shevchenko in the lead spot and Calvin Imperial III as Albrecht. Organized by Kevin Mckenzie with movement after Jean Coralli, Jules Perrot, and Marius Petipa, Giselle is combined with a good soundtrack by Adolphe Adam, coordinated by John Lanchbery, with view by Gianni Quaranta, outfits by Anna Anni, and lighting by Jennifer Tipton. The ongoing organizing is by McKenzie, utilizing the Quaranta and Anni plans.

Sylvia will get back to American Expressive dance Theater in the fourth seven day stretch of the Mid year season, starting on Tuesday, July 8 at 7:30 P.M. furthermore, running for seven exhibitions. The premiere night cast of Sylvia will be driven by Catherine Hurlin as Sylvia and Isaac Hernández as Aminta, both in their presentations. With movement by Frederick Ashton, music by Léo Delibes, and organizing by Christopher Newton, Sylvia is set in legendary Greece and recounts the tale of the modest fairy Sylvia who is joined by the god Eros with the lovelorn shepherd Aminta. Sylvia highlights landscape and outfits by Christopher and Robin Ironside, with extra plans by Peter Rancher and lighting by Imprint Jonathan. This creation accepted its recovery debut by The Illustrious Artful dance on November 4, 2004, at The Regal Show House, Covent Nursery, London. American Artful dance Theater introduced the US Recovery Debut on June 3, 2005. The artful dance was last performed by ABT in 2016.

ABTKids

ABTKids, American Artful dance Theater’s yearly one-hour prologue to expressive dance for families, is planned for Saturday, June 14 at 11:00 A.M. Tickets start at $25.

2025 Summer Season Celebratory Nights

American Expressive dance Theater will celebrate a huge number during the 2025 Summer season through a progression of post-execution toasts. Affirmation is stretched out to that night’s ticket holders with the acquisition of an extra gathering ticket for $98.

ABT Experts Series

ABT will hold three ABT Experts Series programs during the 2025 Summer season. Intended for grown-ups 20-years or more seasoned with novice to cutting edge fledgling artful dance insight, members will go through the day at ABT’s 890 Broadway studios for body molding, expressive dance method, and an hour and a half collection studio. That night, members will go to a pre-show talk prior to watching the relating ABT execution at the Metropolitan Drama House. The day-long experience can be bought for $350 and will run on Saturday, June 21 (Giselle); Saturday, July 12 (Sylvia); and Saturday, July 19 (Swan Lake).
